The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced a profit after tax of ₦185 billion for July 2025, marking another positive performance for the national oil company.
According to its monthly performance report, the company also remitted about ₦7.9 trillion to the Federation Account in the first half of the year, reinforcing its role as a major revenue driver for Nigeria’s economy.
The report highlighted a steady improvement in crude oil production, which averaged 1.70 million barrels per day (mbpd) in July, compared to 1.68mbpd in June. This figure is close to the company’s peak output of 1.77mbpd recorded earlier in the year.
Of the July figure, condensate production contributed 0.29mbpd, while crude oil accounted for 1.40mbpd. On the gas front, NNPCL recorded a robust performance, with natural gas production hitting 7.72 billion standard cubic feet per day (bscfd), up from 7.58bscfd in the previous month. Gas sales also rose to a year-high 4.98bscfd, reflecting increasing domestic and export demand.
The performance underscores NNPCL’s commitment to stabilizing production levels and boosting revenue inflows amid ongoing reforms in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
