The National Pension Commission (PenCom), in collaboration with Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs), has launched a self-service online data recapture platform called the Data Recapture Self-Service Platform (PENCAP). The system, unveiled on Sunday, February 1, 2026, enables Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders to update their personal records remotely without visiting their PFAs.
PenCom stated that PENCAP targets RSA holders who joined the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) on or before July 1, 2019, and have not yet completed the data recapture process.
According to the commission, the initiative is aimed at enhancing data integrity, improving service delivery, and modernising pension administration through digitalisation.
“Accurate and up-to-date data is fundamental to the efficient management of retirement savings under the CPS,” PenCom noted. The commission highlighted that legacy records and incomplete documentation have over time caused challenges in verification and benefit processing.
“PENCAP offers contributors a secure, convenient channel to recapture their data, providing a proactive solution to these challenges,” the commission added.
