AVA Capital Plc has announced that it will be admitted to the Main Board of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on July 31, 2026, through a listing by introduction.
The integrated financial services group said the move marks a strategic transition into the public market and reinforces its long-term institutional growth ambitions.
Speaking on the development, the Managing Director of AVA Capital Plc, Olukayode Fadahunsi, described the listing as a significant milestone in the company’s journey.
According to him, the admission to the Nigerian Exchange reflects the company’s evolution into a long-term institution with a strong operational foundation and a commitment to transparency.
“Our admission to the Nigerian Exchange is a natural progression in AVA Capital’s evolution as a long-term institution. We’re stepping into the public market with a solid foundation, an established platform, and a commitment to transparency,” Fadahunsi said.
He added that the company views the governance and disclosure requirements of the public market as strengths that will support sustainable growth over time.
Unlike an Initial Public Offering (IPO), the listing by introduction will not involve the issuance of new shares or the raising of fresh capital. Instead, the company said the move is intended to improve market visibility, strengthen corporate governance, and enhance engagement with shareholders and the wider investment community.
AVA Capital operates an integrated financial services platform through its subsidiaries, including AVA Global Asset Managers, AVA Securities, and AVA Trustees. The group disclosed that it structured transactions worth more than N500 billion during the 2025/2026 financial year.
The company also noted that it already meets the Nigerian Exchange’s free float requirement, with approximately 20 percent of its issued shares held outside the controlling shareholder structure.
According to the statement, the listing aligns AVA Capital more closely with the governance and disclosure standards expected of publicly traded companies while expanding its access to the capital market.
The group previously celebrated the launch of the AVA Infrastructure Fund with a ceremonial closing gong at the NGX and currently operates across several regulated business lines under the supervision of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
AVA Capital stated that because no new shares will be issued, the success of the listing will be measured by investor engagement, market participation, and the company’s ability to deliver long-term value as a publicly listed institution.
The company added that the listing reflects the growing emphasis on stronger corporate governance, greater transparency, and increased institutional participation in Nigeria’s capital market.
