Stakeholders and members of the business community at the 47th Kaduna International Trade Fair were given fresh insight into the long-term strategy of the Dangote Group as its representative, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, presented the company’s Vision 2030 roadmap.
Speaking during the company’s Special Day at the fair, Wali Abdurrahman highlighted plans aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s industrial base and promoting economic self-reliance through expanded local production and value addition.
According to a statement issued by the firm on Monday, Vision 2030 is designed to position the conglomerate as a leading global manufacturing powerhouse. The roadmap also seeks to advance national economic development through job creation, technology adoption and supply chain expansion.
She explained that the group’s investments in cement, fertiliser, petrochemicals, energy, sugar and salt are structured to reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imports and reinforce domestic manufacturing capacity.
Wali Abdurrahman added that the strategy aligns with ongoing economic reforms focused on stimulating industrial growth and improving competitiveness across sectors.
She stressed that partnerships with small and medium-scale enterprises, distributors and local suppliers remain central to the company’s long-term vision.
“At the Dangote Group, local content development is not a slogan; it is the foundation of our business philosophy. We believe that Nigeria’s prosperity must be built by Nigerians, using Nigerian resources, and for the benefit of Nigerian communities,” she said.
As part of activities marking its Special Day, the company unveiled new 25kg and 100g sachet packs of Dangote Sugar at the trade fair.
In his remarks, President of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Farouk Suleiman, described the Dangote Group as a symbol of industrial excellence.
He commended the partnership between KADCCIMA and the conglomerate, noting that its consistent participation in the fair reflects confidence in trade exhibitions and business networking platforms.
The company’s Corporate Communications Department also disclosed that several subsidiaries participated in the exhibition. These included Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar Refinery, NASCON Allied Industries, Dangote-Sinotruk, Dangote Peugeot Automobile and Dangote Fertiliser.
Each subsidiary operated a dedicated helpdesk to respond to inquiries from prospective customers and stakeholders throughout the fair.
