Stakeholders at the Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ICMR)13th Annual Conference and investiture of Fellows of the Institute, will be proposing policy recommendations as well as suggest actionable policy measures with a view to enhancing financial stability in Nigeria.

According to a statement signed by the President and Chairman of the Council, Oluseyi Owoturo, the institute stated that the conference will focus on assessing Nigeria’s current economic landscape and proposing actionable measures to enhance financial stability..
The event will also address key challenges facing financial stability and explore the role of the capital market in wealth creation.
The Director-General of the Securities & Exchange Commission, Dr. Emomotimi Agama, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address on the theme: “Enhancing Financial Stability in the Nigerian Economy: Strategic Role of the Capital Market in Wealth Creation”, will be holding on Saturday 9th November, 2024, at the Oriental Hotels, Lagos.
Other speakers include the Chief Executive Officer of Economic Associates, Ayodele Teriba, who will speak on “Balancing Innovation and Regulation for Financial Stability in an Era of Market Transformation,” and the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Exchange Limited, Jude Chiemeka, who will address the topic “Restoring Confidence in the Capital Market: The Strategic Role of Registrars”.
The institute added that the conference would highlight the significance of the capital market in providing funds for businesses and the government.
