Meta Platforms is offering cash incentives of up to $3,000 per month to encourage content creators to post regularly on Facebook. The initiative, part of the company’s new “Content Fast Track” programme, aims to reverse years of declining creator activity as influencers increasingly focus on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
Under the programme, creators must publish at least 15 reels monthly, earning approximately $200 per video over a three-month period. While top-tier creators can receive the full $3,000 incentive, smaller influencers are eligible for up to $1,000 monthly. The scheme is currently limited to North America.
The rollout underscores Meta’s ongoing challenge to remain competitive in the rapidly expanding creator economy, despite paying nearly $3 billion to creators in 2025 through its monetisation ecosystem.
However, some experts are skeptical about the programme’s effectiveness. Jordan Schwarzenberger described it as “a bit of a desperate” effort to redirect attention back to Facebook, noting that the platform has not been a priority for creators in nearly a decade.
He also raised concerns about the financial viability of the incentives, explaining that for some creators, the payments may not even cover production costs. Schwarzenberger suggested the initiative may appeal more to smaller creators than the top-tier influencers Meta hopes to attract.
