Foundation empowers Lagos Schools with books, gifts

In an effort to enhance reading culture, giving and improving the quality of students education for total and global leaders, 3RS Foundation has donated books and gifts to students in Ikorodu Lagos.

Mrs Isoken Ekeocha- Onoyona, 3RS Foundation Chairman Board of Trustee disclosed that the project focuses on youth’s development, creativity and productivity as this goes a long way discouraging restiveness, crime, distractions and improve quality life style.

She observed that education is not well funded in Nigeria, and as such the foundation bridges a gap between those who want to fund education or partners willing to support education in Nigeria, since it is a bedrock for development in any society.

She recounted that “We have been on this mission since 2015. We have impacted many schools in the lkorodu area of Lagos State. Other schools include Unique Friends Schools, Acme Private schools, Anchor schools, and other Private schools where we had our most recent events.

Mrs Ekeocha-Onoyona urged the government on the need to to increase the education budget as well as revamp the sector. She also called urged the government to motivate Teachers in public institutions by training and equipping them with all the latest technologies to meet local and international standards.

The Founder of the NGO founder advised the children to dream and act on it to succeed while embracing education, and instruction with all their strength.

‘You should use the skills and talents God has given you to be more creative and productive as well as harnessing them; never let your dreams die”, She also encouraged parents to support their wards with love and understanding.

”Governments cannot everything for her citizens, so NGOs and Foundations should complement the government effort”.

According to her, the program uses its workshop sessions to engage young people by provoking them to tap into their talents, personality and life purposes to gain positive values, healthy habits, in good relationships towards nation building.

Ekeocha-Onoyona said the Foundations vision is to positively influence generation of young people towards a better nation executing this conducting workshop in schools through Boot Camps and one on one mentoring.

Receiving the books on behalf of the School, Mrs Tayo Iginla Principal of the School The Great Private schools appreciated effort of the foundation as well as charged other foundations to emulate the kind gesture of the Foundation.

    This worth to emulate by other NGO’s and Foundations, thanks so much 3RS Foundation, God continue to bless and guide you all richly, I will also use this to point out that such gesture should go to other localities in Lagos or states, the writer made it known that such gestures has earlier been done to some schools in ikorodu axis of Lagos state, others are looking forward such area as Agbado, ishefun – ayobo, ketu, badagry, ajegunle to mention few. With this you may be attracting well wishers, who may want to contribute through your NGO’S or Foundation’s.
