NADF Launches Digital M&E Platform for N19.5bn AgGrow Support Scheme

The National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) has launched a digital Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) platform to support the rollout of its ₦19.5 billion AgGrow Farm Support Programme, aimed at transforming smallholder agriculture across Nigeria.

Unveiled yesterday in Abuja, the initiative is designed to provide 50% subsidies on seeds, fertilisers, and crop protection products (CPPs) to 50,000 smallholder farmers engaged in maize, rice, cassava, and soybean production across the six geopolitical zones.

Speaking at the launch, NADF Executive Secretary Mohammed Ibrahim described the platform as a “game-changer” for agricultural transparency and impact assessment.

“This platform ensures that every seed, every input, and every naira invested is properly tracked from distribution to usage, so that we can keep learning, improving, and delivering results aligned with national priorities,” he said.

Under the AgGrow scheme, NADF will fully finance farm inputs, while participating processors will repay 50% of the value after harvest through structured outgrower arrangements. This innovative model connects farmers directly to agro-processors, bypassing middlemen, and improving raw material sourcing in the agricultural value chain.

The programme is expected to significantly enhance productivity, reduce input costs, and promote inclusive growth within Nigeria’s food system.
