IPMAN reaches deal with Dangote Refinery for direct PMS supply to members

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has announced that it has reached an agreement with the Dangote Petroleum Refinery for the supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, to its registered members nationwide.

Following the agreement, IPMAN has called on all its members across the country to patronise the Dangote Refinery in the purchase of PMS, noting that the refinery currently offers the most affordable prices to marketers. The association also disclosed that free delivery of PMS products from the refinery is scheduled to commence in January 2026.

Speaking during a press briefing, the National President of IPMAN, Abubakar Maigandi Shettima, assured Nigerians that there would be no gap or scarcity in the supply of PMS, stressing that IPMAN members control about 80 per cent of the downstream petroleum retail market.

“The association has the highest percentage of the supply chain of the PMS downstream sector, controlling over 80 per cent of the PMS retail market. We therefore declare that there will be no gap or scarcity in PMS supply to Nigerians,” Shettima said.

IPMAN also expressed satisfaction with the recent decision by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery to begin direct supply of PMS products to registered members of the association, describing the move as a major boost to stability in the downstream sector.

The association further applauded the Chairman of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Aliko Dangote, for his support of the Federal Government, which it said has been reflected in the regular reduction of petrol pump prices across the country.

According to IPMAN, the direct supply arrangement is expected to enhance efficiency, reduce distribution costs and ensure more stable fuel availability for consumers nationwide.
