Three subsidiaries of Dangote Industries Limited—Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Dangote Fertiliser Plant, and Dangote Cement Plc—have signed Gas Sales and Purchase Agreements (GSPA) with Nigerian Gas Marketing Limited and NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company Limited (NGIC), both subsidiaries of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd).
The agreements aim to support Dangote’s Vision 2030, driving increased output, cleaner energy supply, and enabling ongoing expansion projects across the conglomerate’s operations.
Speaking at the signing ceremony in Abuja, David Bird, CEO of Dangote Petroleum Refinery, said the deals underscore the refinery’s bold steps to expand capacity and represent a proactive approach to securing the energy required for anticipated production increases.
Meanwhile, Arvid Pathak, Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement Plc, noted that the agreements will guarantee gas supply for strategic objectives, including the adoption of CNG as Autogas and meeting Nigeria’s rising gas demand.
The deals mark a critical milestone in the conglomerate’s expansion drive, ensuring reliable energy access to power Dangote’s industrial growth plans.
