Leading financial institution Fidelity Bank Plc has unveiled the second edition of its flagship women-empowerment initiative, the HerFidelity Apprenticeship Programme 2.0 (HAP 2.0). The programme is designed to equip women with practical, income-generating skills and structured pathways to entrepreneurship.
At a media briefing, Osita Ede, Divisional Head of Product Development, explained that HAP 2.0 builds on the success of the inaugural 2023 edition, integrating enhanced mentorship and stronger partnerships to ensure sustainable economic opportunities for participants.
“HerFidelity Apprenticeship Programme 2.0 reflects our commitment to continuous improvement,” Ede said. “Participants will undergo intensive apprenticeship training under reputable institutions and industry experts across fields such as hair styling, shoe making, auto mechatronics, and interior decoration.”
The programme goes beyond skills acquisition by providing business advisory services, including financial literacy training, mentorship, access to Fidelity Bank’s women-focused and SME financial solutions, and guidance on business formalisation and growth strategies.
Ede emphasised that the initiative positions women as future employers, innovators, and economic contributors within their communities, aligning with Fidelity Bank’s mandate to support individual growth, business development, and economic prosperity.
