The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has attributed the power outage experienced in parts of the Federal Capital Territory to a technical fault.
The electricity distribution company disclosed this in a notice issued on Monday, explaining that the outage was caused by a fault affecting the feeder serving the affected areas.
According to AEDC, locations impacted by the blackout include Flower Gate Estate, Apo Mechanic Village, Wumba Village, Waru Village, Super Cell Estate, Efab Estate, all Saraha Homes, IPENT Phases 3, 4 and 5, and Basic Estate.
Other affected areas are Nzube Estate, Copacabana Estate, Vision Court Estate, Kabusa Village, Dogogada Village, Living Faith Church, Peace Court Estate, Sunshine Homes, Fafu Homes, Pent Ville Estate, FRSC Estate, Pigbakasa, and Pigbasama Village.
“We regret to inform you that the current power outage is due to a technical fault affecting the feeder serving your area,” the company said.
AEDC assured customers that its technical team is working to restore power supply as quickly as possible and appealed for patience while repairs are ongoing.
