BUA Cement Plc has rewarded its top-performing distributors with cash prizes, sports utility vehicles, and compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks as part of efforts to deepen its nationwide distribution network and sustain growth in Nigeria’s competitive cement market.
The awards were presented at the 2025 Distributors’ Awards held at the Eko Hotels and Suites Convention Centre, where 30 distributors were recognised across multiple performance categories.
Top-performing distributors received cash rewards alongside two CNG trucks each, while other leading dealers were awarded one truck in addition to monetary incentives. Ten distributors also received brand new 2025 Toyota RAV4 vehicles, highlighting the scale of the company’s incentive programme.
Regional champions were rewarded with 900 bags of cement each, while additional categories such as Pacesetters, Powerhouse, and Market Dominators recognised excellence across different segments of the company’s distribution network.
Speaking at the event, Managing Director Yusuf Binji said the company remains committed to strengthening partnerships across its value chain.
“We value our distributors and will continue to support them to achieve even greater results,” he said, adding that ongoing efforts are focused on improving supply chain efficiency and profitability for partners.
Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu described the awards as recognition of distributor loyalty and resilience, noting their broader role in national development.
“Their contribution goes beyond sales; they are key drivers of socio-economic growth across the country,” he said.
Rabiu also highlighted Nigeria’s growing population as a key driver of cement demand, presenting opportunities for distributors to expand their operations alongside rising infrastructure and housing needs.
To meet this demand, the company is scaling up production capacity through ongoing investments, including the addition of Line 6 in Sokoto and a planned three-million-tonne-per-annum plant in Ososo.
In addition, BUA Cement announced a ₦30-per-bag bonus for all dealers on 2025 purchase volumes, with a total of ₦4.5bn allocated to the initiative, further reinforcing its commitment to incentivising performance across its distribution chain.
The event attracted major industry stakeholders, including Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group, underscoring the strategic importance of distribution networks in Nigeria’s cement industry.
