National President of the Nigerian Association Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Dele Oye, has urged for stronger cooperation between Nigeria and Spain to enhance their current $4 billion trade value. During a visit to the Spanish Ambassador, Juan Sell, Oye highlighted the longstanding relationship between the two nations, which has led to increased trade and investment opportunities.
Recognizing Spain’s significant role in international trade, Oye emphasized the potential for further growth and development in their trade relations. The current trade volume between Nigeria and Spain stands at over $4 billion, but both countries have the opportunity to expand these trade opportunities.
In line with this goal, Oye called for deeper collaboration between Nigeria and Spain, building upon their existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The NACCIMA President expressed the organization’s commitment to supporting traders, entrepreneurs, and investors from both countries to facilitate investments and trade expansion.
NACCIMA aims to provide a robust support structure for Nigerian businesses seeking investment opportunities in Spain and vice versa. By fostering this cooperation, the two nations can tap into each other’s markets, creating mutually beneficial economic ties and fostering further growth in trade and investment.
Through sustained collaboration and effective utilization of existing agreements, Nigeria and Spain can strengthen their economic partnership and capitalize on the immense potential for trade expansion. This proactive approach towards trade cooperation is expected to yield positive outcomes for both countries, leading to increased prosperity and bilateral opportunities in the future.
