NRS Extends Operations to Saturdays Ahead of Peak Tax Filing Season

The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has announced the extension of its operations to Saturdays as part of efforts to support taxpayers using its newly launched Rev360 tax administration platform.

The move comes ahead of the June peak period for tax filing.

In a statement signed by the Executive Chairman of the NRS, Zacch Adedeji, and shared on the agency’s official X handle on Thursday, the service said all Emerging, Medium, Large, and Government Business Offices nationwide would operate on Saturdays between May 8 and June 27, 2026.

According to the agency, the offices will open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during the period.

The NRS explained that the extended working hours are designed to assist taxpayers in navigating the new Rev360 platform and meeting their tax obligations during the filing season.

“The Nigeria Revenue Service hereby informs the general public, particularly taxpayers, that all Emerging, Medium, Large, and Government Business Offices nationwide will be open on Saturdays from 8 May to 27 June, 2026,” the statement said.

The agency added that the initiative forms part of its commitment to improving taxpayer support and service delivery following the rollout of the Rev360 Phase I Tax Administration System for Medium and Emerging Taxpayer segments.

According to the NRS, the additional operating hours are expected to support seamless compliance during the Companies Income Tax filing period while also improving access to tax services outside normal working days.

The announcement follows the official launch of Rev360 on April 30 as part of the agency’s transition to what it described as “Tax Administration 3.0.”

The NRS said the platform was developed to provide a more integrated, transparent, and efficient tax administration system in Nigeria.

The agency noted that Rev360 builds on previous digital reforms aimed at improving taxpayer experience and increasing compliance levels across the country.

It encouraged taxpayers to take advantage of the extended office hours to resolve pending tax issues and seek guidance on the use of the new platform.

The Saturday operations are also expected to reduce pressure during the peak filing period by giving taxpayers more time to access support services and obtain clarification on compliance procedures.

“The NRS remains dedicated to delivering efficient, transparent, and taxpayer-focused services,” the agency stated.
