Preparations are in full swing for the NOG Energy Week 2026, themed “Advancing Energy Ambitions for Competitive & Resilient Economies.” The flagship industry event will convene ministers, CEOs, financiers, and senior technical leaders from across Africa and the globe to fast-track investment, partnerships, and the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline initiative.
Among the confirmed speakers is Bayo Ojulari, Group Chief Executive of NNPC Ltd. Other notable participants include Nigeria’s Ministers of State for Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri (Oil) and Ekperikpe Ekpo (Gas), as well as Uganda’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Dr Ruth Ssentamu. Senior diplomatic representatives from Germany, Argentina, Morocco, Tanzania, and Zambia are also expected, alongside key regulatory and industry bodies including NUPRC, NMDPRA, and NCDMB.
Senior corporate executives and technical leaders from across Africa’s energy value chain will participate, including Proscovia Nabbanja, Jim Swartz, Ainojie Irune, and Tony Attah, alongside representatives from global firms such as BP, Schneider Electric, Tenaris, thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH, and Siemens Energy, as well as multilateral institutions including the World Bank, AfDB, and AFC.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, NOG Energy Week has long served as the platform where policy direction, capital, and industry capability converge to move projects forward. The 2026 edition, scheduled for 5–9 July 2026 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, positions itself as a strategic enabler focused on translating dialogue into bankable delivery across Africa’s energy markets.
NNPC Ltd’s unveiling of the Gas Master Plan 2026 marks a decisive shift from strategy to execution, setting practical targets for increased output and mobilising investment across gas-to-power, LPG, and industrial feedstock value chains. Concurrently, regional cooperation is advancing, with the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline gaining diplomatic and feasibility momentum through intergovernmental agreements and route studies.
The event’s Strategic Conference Executive Committee (ExCo), comprising government, operator, and technical experts, will guide sessions designed to convert policy momentum into investable projects. Discussions will prioritise regional and global partnerships, investment de-risking, upstream gas opportunities, export infrastructure, and deal structures that attract both domestic and international capital.
The 2026 programme will feature a full spectrum of strategic engagement, including a large-scale international exhibition, NOG Energy Club, leadership roundtables, technical seminars, and deal-making lounges. These platforms aim to foster dialogue, strategic partnerships, and actionable project delivery to accelerate Africa’s energy transformation and secure a sustainable, competitive, and resilient energy future.
