NCDMB Enforces Content Fund Clearance, Launches N50bn Community Contractor Scheme

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has officially commenced enforcement of the Nigerian Content Fund Clearance Certificate (NCFCC) to strengthen compliance with local content requirements and grow the $400 million Nigerian Content Intervention Fund (NCIF).

The Board also introduced a revised N50 billion Community Contractor Fund, aimed at removing access barriers and expanding participation by genuine contractors from oil-producing communities.

These announcements were made during the NCIF sensitisation workshop held in Lagos, where the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Mr. Omatshola Ogbe, was represented by Mr. Mubarak Zuabair, Acting Director of Finance and Personnel Management.

According to the Board, the NCFCC will serve as a compliance tool to ensure Nigerian Content obligations are fulfilled in all oil and gas sector projects. “With the introduction of the Compliance Certificate, companies now have an objective standard to demonstrate conformity, while the Board is better positioned to ensure regulatory oversight,” Ogbe said.

He emphasized that proper stakeholder sensitisation is key to the success of the enforcement, describing the event as a critical platform for hands-on engagement and clarification.

In addition, Ogbe noted that the upgraded Nigerian Content Development Fund (NCDF) payment portal marks a significant step forward in operational efficiency, streamlining processes for industry stakeholders.
