Lexis Development Company Ltd, in partnership with Blord Group, has launched Ofunds, a new mobile application designed to deliver accessible digital financial services to local users, particularly in areas where traditional banking options are limited.
Founder of Lexis Development Company Ltd, Alexander Ogbeh, said the platform was created to make everyday financial services easier and more widely available. “The app offers basic financial services, including cashless transactions and an ATM card request option. It is currently available on both iOS and Android platforms,” he explained.
Although still at an early stage, Ofunds has already recorded more than 15,000 users across Eastern Nigeria, reflecting rising demand for convenient, user-friendly digital banking alternatives. Ogbeh noted that the concentration of early adopters indicates a growing appetite for fintech solutions that are locally relevant and easy to use.
He believes the app’s rapid uptake highlights the potential of homegrown digital finance platforms to bridge service gaps, compete with traditional banks, and contribute to Nigeria’s overall economic development.
“Ofunds represents part of a broader mission to develop African-built fintech solutions that prioritise accessibility, simplicity, and financial inclusion for all,” Ogbeh added.
