Bujeti Joins Global Agentic AI Programme, Expands Dollar Corporate Card Infrastructure

African business-finance technology company Bujeti has been selected as one of five companies globally for the inaugural Rain Agentic Startup Program, giving the company access to infrastructure designed to support stablecoin-powered corporate payments.

Bujeti said the programme would support its strategy of combining artificial intelligence with corporate cards, expense management and financial automation for African businesses.

The information comes from a company announcement distributed through Techpoint Africa’s Brand Press platform.

Bujeti Pushes Agentic Finance

Central to the company’s strategy is BRAIN — Bujeti’s Real-time Artificial Intelligence Network.

The system uses specialised AI “teammates” to automate different financial functions, including document processing, accounts receivable, financial controls and access to financial information.

The broader objective is to shift some repetitive corporate-finance activities from manual processing towards systems capable of taking predefined actions within controls established by companies.

Bujeti currently combines expense management, corporate cards, payments automation, payroll, invoicing, multi-currency accounts and tax-management functions within its platform.

Dollar Cards Target International Spending

The Rain partnership will also support US dollar-denominated corporate cards for businesses using Bujeti.

According to the company announcement, the cards can be used across more than 175 million merchant locations globally.

That could be particularly relevant for African businesses paying international software subscriptions, advertising platforms, cloud providers, vendors and other overseas expenses.

Businesses can issue virtual or physical cards with predetermined limits while monitoring spending in real time.

Bujeti said its AI layer can use card-transaction data to enforce company spending policies and identify potential risks.

More Than 2,000 Businesses on Platform

Bujeti says more than 2,000 companies currently use its platform across markets including Nigeria, Kenya and Francophone Africa.

The company also said it has previously raised $2 million from investors including Y Combinator, Entrée Capital, Voltron Capital, Unpopular VC and Kima Ventures.

Its participation in Rain’s programme comes as AI moves beyond chatbots and content-generation tools into systems designed to execute business processes.

For corporate finance, that could mean software increasingly handles routine tasks while employees concentrate on approvals, exceptions and strategic decisions.

The commercial opportunity for Bujeti will depend on whether businesses become comfortable allowing AI systems greater involvement in sensitive financial workflows while maintaining effective controls and regulatory compliance.
