CardinalStone Securities Limited, Finmal Finance Company Limited and Lambeth Capital Limited led their respective market segments on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) during the trading week from August 3 to August 7, 2026, according to official broker performance data released by the exchange.
The report highlights continued concentration of trading activity among major investment houses, with the top 10 stockbroking firms accounting for more than half of transactions across the local bourse.
Across equities, fixed income and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), the top 10 trading stockbrokers accounted for N141.62 billion, representing 50.71 per cent of the total transaction value executed during the week.
In the equity segment, CardinalStone Securities Limited led the market after facilitating trades worth N41.58 billion, representing 14.95 per cent of total equity market value.
First Securities Brokers Limited followed with transactions valued at N18.39 billion, accounting for 6.61 per cent, while CSL Stockbrokers Limited ranked third with N12.85 billion, representing 4.62 per cent.
Other brokers in the top 10 equity rankings were Cordros Securities Limited with N12.55 billion, representing 4.51 per cent; Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited with N11.34 billion, or 4.08 per cent; and Coronation Securities Limited with N10.49 billion, or 3.77 per cent.
Lambeth Capital Limited recorded N9.27 billion, representing 3.34 per cent, while Meristem Stockbrokers Limited facilitated N8.99 billion, or 3.23 per cent.
United Capital Securities Limited accounted for N7.76 billion, representing 2.79 per cent, while Readings Investments Limited completed the top 10 with N7.69 billion, or 2.77 per cent.
Collectively, the 10 leading equity brokers accounted for 50.67 per cent of total stock transactions during the week.
In the fixed-income segment, Finmal Finance Company Limited emerged as the leading broker with N78.36 million in transaction value, capturing 33.05 per cent of total deals.
Arthur Steven Asset Management Limited ranked second with N51.89 million, representing 21.89 per cent, while CardinalStone Securities Limited placed third with N29.70 million, or 12.53 per cent.
The fixed-income market recorded significantly higher concentration than the equities segment, with the top 10 brokers accounting for 96.41 per cent of total turnover.
Meristem Stockbrokers Limited recorded N25.23 million, representing 10.65 per cent, while Smadac Securities Limited accounted for N17.85 million, or 7.53 per cent.
Newdevco Finance Services Co. Limited recorded N8.72 million, representing 3.68 per cent, followed by CSL Stockbrokers Limited with N5.61 million, or 2.37 per cent.
Rostrum Investment and Securities Limited accounted for N4.94 million, representing 2.09 per cent, while Securities Africa Financial Limited recorded N3.21 million, or 1.36 per cent.
Kapital Care Trust & Securities Limited completed the top 10 with N2.98 million, representing 1.26 per cent.
Trading in Exchange Traded Funds, a segment gaining traction among investors seeking diversified asset exposure, was led by Lambeth Capital Limited.
Lambeth Capital recorded transactions worth N330.88 million, representing 32.24 per cent of the ETF market.
Atlass Portfolios Limited followed in second place with N113.84 million, or 11.09 per cent, while CardinalStone Securities Limited ranked third with N93.03 million, representing 9.07 per cent.
The 10 leading ETF brokers accounted for 87.42 per cent of total transaction value in the segment.
Afrinvest Securities Limited ranked fourth with N81.15 million, representing 7.91 per cent, followed by Morgan Capital Securities Limited with N68.34 million, or 6.66 per cent.
United Capital Securities Limited recorded N44.43 million, representing 4.33 per cent, while Coronation Securities Limited accounted for N43.39 million, or 4.23 per cent.
APEL Asset Limited recorded N37.85 million, representing 3.69 per cent, while Vetiva Capital Management Limited completed the listed top brokers with N36.40 million, or 3.55 per cent.
Across all asset classes combined, CardinalStone Securities Limited retained its overall market leadership after executing transactions worth N41.71 billion, capturing 14.93 per cent of the market’s total transaction value.
First Securities Brokers Limited maintained the second position with N18.39 billion, representing 6.58 per cent, while CSL Stockbrokers Limited ranked third with N12.86 billion, or 4.61 per cent.
Cordros Securities Limited followed with N12.55 billion, representing 4.49 per cent, while Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited recorded N11.45 billion, or 4.10 per cent.
Coronation Securities Limited accounted for N10.53 billion, representing 3.77 per cent, while Lambeth Capital Limited recorded N9.60 billion, or 3.44 per cent.
Meristem Stockbrokers Limited facilitated N9.03 billion, representing 3.24 per cent, followed by United Capital Securities Limited with N7.81 billion, or 2.80 per cent.
Readings Investments Limited completed the overall top 10 with N7.69 billion, representing 2.75 per cent.
The figures underline the continued dominance of major brokerage firms in trading activity on the Nigerian Exchange, particularly in equities and fixed income, while specialised brokers continue to gain significant market share in the growing ETF segment.
