inDrive has strengthened its commitment to driver welfare in Nigeria by expanding its Platinum Driver Programme, pledging over N1.2 billion in rewards and healthcare support through a partnership with healthtech company Heala.
The initiative introduces affordable telemedicine services for top-performing drivers, allowing beneficiaries to access healthcare directly through the inDrive app. The move aims to improve the wellbeing of drivers, who are critical to maintaining service quality and operational efficiency.
Since its launch in 2025, the Platinum Driver Programme has recognised drivers who consistently provide high-quality service, benefiting more than 3,000 participants with rewards exceeding N1.2 billion. These drivers account for over 70 percent of service quality on the platform.
Under the new partnership, eligible drivers can subscribe to healthcare plans starting from N1,300 per month, enabling consultations with licensed doctors via video, voice, or chat. The plans also provide prescriptions, access to nearby pharmacies, diagnostic tests, specialist referrals, and annual hospital visits. Coverage can be extended to drivers’ spouses and children, offering families additional medical security.
Oladimeji Timothy said, “Driver welfare remains a core pillar of our operations. Expanding the Platinum Driver Programme through our partnership with Heala allows us to go even further by supporting the health and wellbeing of these drivers and their families.”
Anderson Oriahi added, “Our partnership with inDrive demonstrates how technology can make healthcare more accessible for people with demanding schedules. Drivers play an essential role in keeping cities moving, and through this collaboration, we are ensuring they can access quality healthcare quickly and conveniently, wherever they are.”
The expanded programme underscores inDrive’s strategy to recognise and reward top-performing drivers while addressing their healthcare needs, reinforcing the platform’s long-term commitment to operational excellence and social responsibility.
