Beta Glass Plc Posts Record N33.25bn Profit in 2025 Audited Results

Beta Glass Plc has released its audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025, reporting a record-breaking financial performance despite a challenging economic environment.

The company posted a profit after tax of N33.25bn, representing a 144 per cent increase compared with N13.63bn recorded in 2024.

Revenue also grew strongly during the period. Total revenue rose 27 per cent, climbing from N117.58bn in 2024 to N149.12bn in 2025.

Management attributed the strong results to operational efficiency, disciplined cost management, and strategic investments in production assets.

A major highlight of the year was the successful rebuild of the furnace at the company’s Delta plant. The project was designed to improve production capacity and strengthen long-term operational performance.

Chief Executive Officer Alexander Gendis said the company’s strategy and resilience were key factors behind the strong results.

“This year’s results reflect the resilience of our business model and the successful execution of our strategic initiatives,” Gendis said.

“Despite market challenges, our commitment to delivering value to our shareholders was and remains strong.”

He added that the company’s improved production efficiency and focus on key customers also contributed to the strong performance.

“Our performance was underpinned by improved production efficiency, effective cost management, and a clear focus on our key customers and segments,” he said.

The company also invested heavily in its asset base during the year. The furnace rebuild at the Delta facility was described as a major long-term investment in both ‘hot-end’ and ‘cold-end’ production technology.

According to the company, the modernisation project has reduced its carbon footprint while also increasing production yield.

Looking ahead to 2026, the Board of Directors said the company will closely monitor global geopolitical developments, energy costs, and supply chain pressures.

However, management remains confident in the company’s strategy and operational resilience as it continues to expand across Africa.

Beta Glass remains a key supplier in the region’s packaging industry. The company provides glass containers for beverage, pharmaceutical, and food manufacturers across West and Central Africa.

The full audited report is available on the company’s website and the platform of the Nigerian Exchange Group.

As global industries shift toward sustainable materials, Beta Glass said its focus on glass — a 100 per cent infinitely recyclable material — positions it strongly within the emerging circular economy and offers a viable alternative to plastic packaging.
