Beta Glass Plc recorded revenue of N79.71 billion in the first half of 2026, supported by increased sales and export demand despite rising logistics and input costs that pressured margins.
The company’s unaudited financial statements for the six months ended June 30, 2026, showed that revenue increased by 1.9 per cent from N78.23 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.
Second-quarter revenue rose significantly by 13.8 per cent to N42.18 billion, compared with N37.07 billion reported in the same period last year.
The company posted a profit after tax of N16.16 billion for the first half of the year, while second-quarter profit after tax stood at N8.35 billion.
Earnings per share for the six-month period was recorded at N26.93.
Commenting on the results, the Chief Executive Officer of Beta Glass Plc, Alex Gendis, said the company’s second-quarter performance was driven by sustained demand from both domestic and export markets.
“Our 13.8 per cent revenue growth in Q2 2026 was supported by sustained customer demand both locally and from export sales,” he said.
Gendis noted that while the company’s underlying cost structure remained well managed, higher inbound logistics expenses and input costs affected margins during the second quarter.
He said the company would continue to adjust its pricing model to reflect changing cost conditions, adding that the approach would support margin recovery in the second half of the year.
“Going forward, our dynamic pricing model will account for these factors; we expect this to progressively support margin recovery over the second half of the year,” he stated.
The CEO explained that the company’s first-half performance should be viewed against the strong comparative base recorded in 2025.
According to him, several key customers had brought forward a significant portion of their annual requirements early in 2025, creating an unusually high comparison period.
Gendis said that after adjusting for the base effect, Beta Glass remains on track to achieve its full-year objectives and is performing ahead of internal expectations.
He added that the company continues to experience strong demand across local and export markets.
Beta Glass said it remains focused on delivering quality glass products, improving operational efficiency and maintaining service standards for its customers.
