Dangote Industries Limited has announced plans to showcase its flagship Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemical Company at the 2026 Nasarawa Trade Fair and Exhibition scheduled to begin on April 20.
The event will be officially declared open by the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule.
In a statement released on Thursday, the company said it will also highlight its Vision 2030 strategy, which is focused on advancing innovation and accelerating Africa’s industrialisation.
Dangote Industries is the major sponsor of the trade fair themed “Unlocking Industrial Synergy: Deepening the Value Chain and Driving Inclusive Growth in Nasarawa State.”
The company’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, stated that several Strategic Business Units of the group would participate in the annual event in Lafia, the state capital.
Products expected to be featured at the fair include those from the group’s key subsidiaries such as Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar Refinery, Dangote Salt, Dangote seasonings, Dangote SinoTruck, Dangote Packaging Limited and Dangote Fertilizer Limited.
The statement quoted the Regional Director and Senior Adviser to the Dangote Group President, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, as saying that Nasarawa State remains strategically important to the group’s long-term investment plans in Africa.
According to her, the state hosts the Dangote Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited, a major sugar project that is expected to become one of the largest sugar investments on the continent when completed.
Abdurrahman explained that the trade fair provides a valuable opportunity for the company to interact with stakeholders and Nigerians interested in exploring business partnerships with the organisation.
She added that a dedicated Help Desk would be available during the event to respond to inquiries and provide detailed information about the group’s Strategic Business Units.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI), Nasarawa State chapter, Nidan Sambo Manasseh, said the theme of the trade fair aligns with the industrial vision of Aliko Dangote.
Manasseh noted that Dangote’s focus on industrialisation, local production and value creation continues to inspire efforts to integrate micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) into structured value chains.
“Through this partnership, we are building a bridge between grassroots businesses and large industries, driving inclusive growth,” he said.
He added that the third edition of the Nasarawa Trade Fair and Exhibition has been designed as a practical platform for business growth, industrial collaboration and human capital development rather than just an exhibition.
According to him, one of the highlights of this year’s programme is the Empowerment Skill Acquisition Programme, structured as a package project seeking sponsorship support.
The initiative, scheduled to run from July to December, aims to train about 2,000 beneficiaries across the 13 local government areas of Nasarawa State.
Manasseh explained that the programme would operate as a mobile training system, moving from one local government to another to ensure inclusive grassroots participation.
“Our strategy is to align local enterprise development with large-scale industrial systems,” he added while speaking on the Dangote Group’s Vision 2030.
