Zenith Bank Launches Visa Signature Card for Premium Customers

Zenith Bank Plc has launched the Visa Signature Card in partnership with Visa Inc., in a move aimed at redefining premium banking services for Nigeria’s affluent and globally mobile population.

The new product was unveiled during a press conference in Lagos on Monday. The card is designed to bridge local and international financial services while meeting the rising cross-border transaction needs of high-net-worth individuals.

Speaking at the event, the Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank, Adaora Umeoji, said the collaboration demonstrates the bank’s commitment to offering innovative financial solutions tailored to the lifestyle of its premium customers.

“This partnership with Visa reflects Zenith Bank’s commitment to delivering premium, globally relevant solutions that meet the lifestyle and financial needs of our affluent customers,” she said.

According to her, the Zenith Visa Signature Card will allow customers to enjoy greater convenience, flexibility, and value wherever they travel around the world.

The card offers several high-end features designed for frequent travellers and international consumers. These include access to global airport lounge programmes, travel insurance coverage, concierge services, and exclusive privileges through the Visa Luxury Hotel Collection.

In addition to travel benefits, the card also incorporates enhanced security features such as online shopping fraud protection and extended warranty coverage, aimed at ensuring safe domestic and international transactions.

Also speaking at the launch, the Vice President and Cluster Head of Visa West Africa, Andrew Uaboi, said the new product responds to the changing behaviour of modern consumers who increasingly conduct transactions across borders.

“Consumers are increasingly operating across borders, whether for business, travel, or everyday transactions,” Uaboi said.

“Our role is to ensure that payments remain seamless and secure, regardless of location, by providing the infrastructure that connects them to global commerce.”

He added that the partnership supports the ongoing shift toward digital payments by combining convenience with worldwide acceptance through trusted payment technology.

Industry analysts say the launch of the Visa Signature Card marks a notable development in Nigeria’s financial sector, where banks are competing to attract high-value customers through premium and lifestyle-integrated financial products.

With the introduction of the card, Zenith Bank aims to strengthen its position as a leading financial partner for globally connected Nigerians seeking seamless access to international banking and payment services.
