Fidelity Bank Plc has announced its audited financial results for the year ended December 31, 2025, reporting a 45.6 per cent increase in gross earnings from N1.04tn in 2024 to N1.52tn in 2025.
According to the bank’s audited results released on the Nigerian Exchange portal, the group recorded a Profit After Tax of N242.4bn for the 2025 financial year.
The strong performance was driven by growth across major business segments, including a 38.7 per cent year-on-year rise in interest and similar income, which increased to N1.11tn from N803.1bn recorded in 2024.
Fees and commission income also rose significantly by 44.7 per cent to N113.4bn in 2025, compared to N78.4bn in the previous year.
On the balance sheet, the bank’s total assets expanded by 18.6 per cent year-on-year to N10.46tn, up from N8.82tn in 2024.
Customer deposits also increased by 16.1 per cent to N6.89tn from N5.94tn, reflecting continued customer confidence, franchise strength, and an improved funding profile.
However, net loans and advances declined slightly by 2.4 per cent year-on-year to N4.28tn from N4.39tn, which the bank attributed to customers paying down mature obligations.
Fidelity Bank also strengthened its capital base during the period, with eligible capital rising to N561bn, exceeding the regulatory minimum requirement of N500bn for banks with international authorisation.
The bank’s Capital Adequacy Ratio stood at 30.94 per cent as of December 31, 2025, compared to 23.47 per cent recorded in 2024, indicating a stronger capital position and improved financial resilience.
Ranked among Nigeria’s leading commercial banks, Fidelity Bank currently serves more than 9.1 million customers through its digital banking platforms, 255 business offices across Nigeria, and its United Kingdom subsidiary, FidBank UK Limited.
The bank has also received several local and international recognitions, including the 2024 Excellence in Digital Transformation and MSME Banking Award by the BusinessDay Banks and Financial Institutions Awards.
